With the launch of 'Tuning In' last year, we've had the privilege of watching some incredible female artists rise, and 2025 is their year to shine. From Alessi Rose's viral hits to Nieve Ella's soul-baring music and Chloe Qisha's unapologetic confidence, these women are set to leave a lasting impression on 2025. These rising stars are ready to make their mark and redefine the scene—this year, it’s all about the women leading the way.
Alessi Rose
With 519k monthly listeners on Spotify and various viral hits like "oh my" and "eat me alive", Alessi Rose has taken the internet by a strawberry-scented storm ahead of her sold-out For Your Validation Tour this April. Fresh off the release of her latest single "start all over" from her highly anticipated EP set for release moments away on 17 January, her fiercely loyal fanbase proves Alessi isn't just gaining listeners, she's building a movement.
Nieve Ella
Already turning heads with her raw, emotive sound, Nieve Ella is a rising name you won’t want to miss in 2025. With 109k monthly Spotify listeners and a coveted support slot on girl in red’s tour, she’s gaining well-deserved attention. Her upcoming headline tour across the UK and Europe this February and March follows the success of her stunning EP, Watch It Ache and Bleed and her inclusion in the MTV Push UK & IRE 2025 lineup, solidifying her place as an artist on the brink of stardom.
Flowerovlove
Time for another MTV Push feature... Flowerovlove is blossoming into a powerhouse artist, following the release of her EP, Ache in My Tooth, last October, and her debut on the Billboard charts with Breaking News. Set to break (apologies for the pun) through to the mainstream any moment now, she’s proving to be far more than just a musical talent. Having spotted her turning heads at multiple festivals, we can confidently say she’s not just one of the most exciting singers on the scene — she’s also a fashion icon, to say the least.
Towa Bird
American Hero, Towa Bird's debut album released last June, was the sound of our summer. Towa then rode the wave of this album's success by following it with a release of her infectious single, "Rat Race" -- a track that has absolutely been on repeat daily since September. It has been great to see Towa reach a new crowd after her iconic support slot at Billie Eilish's HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR. Serving statement looks, such as an all-red ensemble, she caught the crowd's attention and is bound to do the same to you in 2025.
Erin LeCount
This singer, producer and songwriter is the ultimate triple threat. Her 2023 EP, Soft Skin, Restless Bones is still making the rounds, a true testament of her ability to create songs with relatability and longevity. Erin LeCount's "Silver Spoon" demo has already been teased by BBC Radio 1's Jodie Bryant, leaving fans (and us!) eagerly anticipating its official release. As Erin sets her sights on 2025, her intriguing blend of vulnerability and artistry is poised to capture even more attention -- "Silver Spoon" is hopefully just the beginning of what's to come.
SOFY
If you've not seen us discuss SOFY before, you have been living under a rock. SOFY is absolutely Blonde Vibrations royalty with two appearances on the show, including our pilot 'Tuning In' episode in which she shares exclusive teasers for her upcoming EP 'Another Day in Paradise' out this March. With singles like "desktop", "mine" and "togethertogether", SOFY's 180k monthly listeners on Spotify are drawn to the lethal combination of candid lyricism and catchy soundscape. Her headline tour to celebrate the EP's release is in April and will be the perfect transition into summer, we'll see you there!
Clairo
Clairo’s coming to the UK so often this year that British fans would be wise to keep a close eye on her—this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss. Despite her high public profile, Clairo maintains a relatively low-key presence, making each live performance a rare and intimate experience. Bringing her Charm Tour to the UK this March and her upcoming slot at Sabrina Carpenter's BST Hyde Park date, this is the perfect time to catch the indie pop sensation before that inevitable GRAMMY win catapults her even further into mainstream popularity.
Rachel Chinouriri
Speaking of Sabrina Carpenter, another incredible artist in her solar system is the iconic Rachel Chinouriri. For those who were lucky enough to get tickets to Sabrina's Short n' Sweet Tour continue to win the luck game with this rising star as the support act in March. Rachel has a truly infectiously positive and fun aura surrounding everything she does, that is bound to translate perfectly on the road. She had a show-stopping year in 2024, with the release of her debut album 'What a Devastating Turn of Events' and collaborative song with Cat Burns, 'Even', we cannot wait to see what she has under her (highly fashionable) sleeve for 2025!
Lily Knott
On the cusp of a well-deserved breakthrough, Lily Knott is about to make a major splash in the mainstream music scene. The year is already starting strong for Lily with a performance at the Sundown Studios' 1st Birthday Artist Showcase. Her Instagram bio currently bodes the phrase 'currently cooking', and we can't wait to see what's on the menu... If it's anything like her previous tracks, 'am i just bored?' and 'I Blame You', we're sure future tracks this year are bound to be delicious additions to your playlists.
JADE
JADE needs no introduction, she takes the public's assumptions of her and taking full control in grabbing those and twisting them. It feels like you never truly know what's coming next, which makes her the perfect artist to keep on your radar to maintain excitement and fascination. Her debut single, 'Angel Of My Dreams' was one of the most daring and alluring entrance as a solo artist this century, and the releases since have kept up this high bar. This 'IT girl' (another pun...) is set to absolutely dominate the 2025 music scene, so join us for the ride.
Lydia May
Featured in our 'Tuning In' series, we can see for ourselves why Lydia May is already turning heads ands stealing hearts. Her authentic and earnest approach to songwriting in her recent singles “You’ve Got This Kid” and “Confessions of an Insomniac", has earned a her a spot in the front-running for artists that need to be on your radar. Her dedicated fanbase is growing rapidly and is ready to embrace new listeners with open arms. Lydia's passion and talent are set to take her to even greater heights, so don’t sleep on this one (sorry, insomniacs!)
Chloe Qisha
Chloe Qisha is everything that you need to bring into your 2025. With her self-titled EP that dropped in November, she's already hitting the music industry with tracks like "Sexy Goodbye" and "I Lied, I'm Sorry" that are bound to get stuck on your On Repeat. She has shows in London and Manchester shows in March and they're bound to be nothing short of iconic. Chloe's got that energy, that confidence -- she owns the space she walks into. This girl is on her way to something big, and you're going to want to say you saw her first.
These talented women are showing just how much impact they’re ready to make. With fresh sounds and a new wave of creativity, they’re poised to have a big year ahead. Stay tuned—this is just the beginning.
