Blonde Vibrations HQ wakes up with the birds tweeting and the sun shining when New Music Friday hits, and the music dropping recently has truly brought about some magic. Some say we can see the future, and the senses are getting stronger and stronger, that these releases are destined to take over. The 2025 music scene has commenced with a bang, and here are just some of the tracks released in the last few weeks, that we already cannot get enough of.
Capricorn - Pompadour

Pompadour have burst onto the music scene, and we’re listening! This Bristolian three-piece radiates energy and fierceness, and their latest track, Capricorn, instantly places them in the league of opening acts for bands like Pale Waves (this would be a night to remember!) From the piercing vocals to the raw, driving drums, the song has an insatiable energy. It is polished yet messy, understated yet explosive. Capricorn was made for a live crowd, with its shift in sound during the final third of the track proving it’s far from just another static indie rock track.
As an introduction to the band, it’s a statement for the listener, building on the momentum of their previous EP, Cut to the Chase, while only further enhancing their signature sound. Pompadour exudes an effortlessly cool image, and with a track like this, they’re only set to attract bigger audiences.
All the Good Ways to Cope - Uninvited

Pop-punk band Uninvited bring a breath of fresh air with their new track, All the Good Ways to Cope, bursting at the seams with infectiously positive energy. There’s a nostalgic charm to its sound, like it belongs in a montage scene of Lindsay Lohan getting ready in Freaky Friday. With its upbeat, spunky sound and lyrics to match, this track urges you to let loose and embrace the brighter side of life (which we could do with a bit more of...)
Lines like ‘I'm here now, it's my space / I'm taking over first place’ and ‘read my lips when I say / I'm okay, I'm coping in a good way’ perfectly capture its refreshing perspective on resilience and consistent growth within yourself. Uninvited’s sound is sharp and polished, yet they allow life’s messiness to seep in, making every moment feel raw and real. This track is bound to be on repeat for a long time, and I’m genuinely excited to see where this band goes next.

prom - Lydia May
prom is one of those singles that will instantly capture the hearts of the listener. Released on Valentine’s Day, Lydia May describes it online as 'for anyone who’s had to take themselves home when they didn’t fit in', a sentiment as poignant as the track itself. The song’s simplicity is its strength. A delicate guitar carries Lydia’s vocals through the verses before layers build as we reach the chorus, allowing the raw emotion in her lyrics to take center stage.
Lines like 'I know that it’s gonna be fine, sometimes it just takes a little while' feel like the heart and soul of the song, a journal entry written for herself and anyone else who has ever felt the same. In this moment, it’s just you and Lydia in the room, as she guides you toward healing, towards feeling okay after hurt. Lydia's strength in songwriting lies in her great ability to tell honest stories with a vulnerability that people can truly see themselves in, and relate deeply to her feelings. There's a real early Olivia Rodrigo essence within this tender track, and it's simply beautiful.
GIRLS! - Cat Burns

Oh yes, what a brilliant response to Charli xcx's iconic hit, Boys. Cat Burns continues to showcase the versatility within her music, whether she is tackling important issues with conversational lyrics or creating irresistibly catchy hooks and stunning melodies. Here, she has written a love letter to women, and we are here for it. GIRLS! is a good, classic example of flirtation in a musical form. It is honest and charming in its celebration of women, revealing a cheeky, playful side to Cat as an artist.
Taking to Instagram upon the track's release, Burns expressed, 'the world is a scary place right now so I just wanted to put some nice energy into the world because us women are just so fab'. She has succeeded in creating a funky, upbeat, yet effortlessly cool track that exudes a feel-good spirit to the listener. Overall, it has that infectious, repeatable quality to it that we cannot get enough of.

front seat honey - SOFY
With each new release ahead of her upcoming mixtape, Another Day In Paradise, SOFY draws in more excitement and anticipation for what is yet to unfold. front seat honey is an extension of the sound we know and love, truly complimenting her previous track togethertogether as an ode to a new love and the joy of embracing this fresh abundance of enjoyment to enter her life. Lyrics like 'I want the house, the car and all the trimmings' are inherently romantic, neatly tucked behind her classic indie sound.
Her growth as an artist is apparent here, as she can lay her soul within the lyrics of her newer releases and really pour herself into each moment within them. While we love her carefree, playful tracks, listeners can connect with SOFY through her music now more than ever and resonate with the feelings portrayed in them. The countdown to the mixtape’s release is officially on!
Simple Girl - Remy Bond

This song feels like waking up just minutes before your alarm, presenting somewhere between reality and a dream. With Remy's endearingly hypnotic vocals, Simple Girl is an immersive track that feels captivating. True to Remy Bond's classic, nostalgic sound, this track bares an otherworldly essence that lures you to pay closer attention. Her vocals take center stage against the song's delicate production, full of richness in the harmonies yet maintaining an airiness as she reaches for the higher notes, which sound beautiful against the song's backdrop.
There is something abundantly mesmerising within the world that Remy creates within her music, with her storytelling acting as a guide consistently, with Simple Girl feeling like a continuation of this romantic, American Dream-like fantasy. Now, all we can do is hope for a UK tour announcement soon.

Sucker - Chloe Slater
Edgy, honest, and full of heart - Chloe Slater's sound encapsulates all this and then some. Sucker, a standout from Slater's latest EP, Love Me Please, is a bold statement, a testament to her character. If one lyric represents the track in its entirety, 'Won't be a sucker for the American Dream' is its strong takeaway. It provides a social critique of external opinion and judgment and clouds the voices of those who outwardly dictate the process of other's journeys.
Sucker is emotionally and sonically charged, as the soundscape works in portraying the same energy that Slater pours into the song. Chloe is set to open for Alessi Rose's For Your Validation Tour, and will absolutely capture the audience's attention who will resonate with her progressive, honestly refreshing sound. This release is a highlight for the whole EP that feels impactful and acts with urgency and insight in her exploration of today's society and her place within it.
I'll Be Your Man - Karly Bowman

Karly Bowman captures the feeling of being let down by someone perfectly, and the saddening realisation that they perhaps didn't care enough to spare you the hurt that has been caused. I'll Be Your Man details the wreck left behind by Karly's ex-partner, in the wake of being left for the comfort of a heterosexual relationship over the love already shared between the two. The chorus is a deep cut, with lyrics like 'What can he give that I can't give you / Say I'm your soulmate but he's who you choose? / Are you lying to me? Are you lying to you?'. These lyrics are so telling of the feeling of desolation and destruction caused by others' careless choices.
There's a heartache present, asking for answers behind the motive for this hurt, yet acknowledging the inner turmoil that the other person must be fighting inside. This almost echoes the sentiment in Chappell Roan's Good Luck, Babe! Karly's final message lies in the bridge, declaring 'I was the best thing that you never even got to lose / And all the ways I said you’d leave are finally coming true' with a quiet triumph and empowerment. This track marks an exciting evolution in Karly Bowman’s artistry, and here at Blonde Vibrations HQ, we’re eagerly awaiting what’s next.

Isn't It Scary - Eva Rose
Eva Rose is someone who has been on our radar for a minute now, with everything she releases striking gold. Isn't It Scary, the latest insight into the life of Eva, is a very real and relatable depiction of looking back into a relationship post-break-up and realising the bullet that has been well and truly dodged. Beginning the track with the lines 'cracks in the ceiling / they're worse than I remember' immediately provides imagery of hindsight painting a perfect picture that one could be so blind to before, capturing how flaws can only present themselves upon retrospective reflection.
Eva masterfully explores how the heartbreak of being left behind, cut off from a future you once thought was certain and laid out in front of you, can actually be a form of protection from a life that was never even meant for you. Lines like 'Used to think you'd be the man I'd marry and I'd go wasting my twenties / If you didn't cut the cord and spare me' in the chorus highlight this idea further, that present pain can prevent future devastation, acting as the biggest blessing in disguise. The track is catchy and cathartic, providing a great break-up anthem to those who need a little light at the end of the tunnel.
Sobering - Hetta Falzon

The moment this song started playing, I genuinely stopped, and immediately felt inclined to search for everything I could find out about this artist. Sobering is stunning on its own, but watching it soundtracking a Gilmore Girls scene with Rory, Jess, and Logan on TikTok? Now you’ve got me hooked. Jokes aside, this is a deeply raw and powerful dive into heartache, where you are pulled into that same place of vulnerability that Hetta Falzon finds herself sitting in.
Her lyricism echoes the very human feelings of watching someone you want be with someone else, where you feel hopeless and helpless when time passes without you, with lines like 'It's sobering just to see her hands all over him / I know they've been to every bone / just the structure of his cheeks alone makes me weak below.' Every line is sincere, and her emotion lingers far beyond the end of the track. This is some of the most touching songwriting of recent releases, Hetta Falzon is well on her way to becoming not just the perfect Gilmore Girls soundtrack, but the soundtrack to people’s real lives.

xoxo - EASHA
Put this track on the end credits of How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days styled romantic comedy IMMEDIATELY. xoxo is a catchy, upbeat song that feels like an ode to the modern situationship and is the perfect introduction to EASHA, potentially your next favourite pop girl on the scene. 'Not really an ex, more like an xoxo' is a line that could be endlessly replayed. Overall, the song is a playful soundtrack to the dizzy state of falling in and out of the dreamy state of love and adoration for someone, that can be so fleeting and end as quickly as it begins.
Even the song's artwork feels intentional as if the next love interest will arrive as fast as the next tube on the Central Line. EASHA summed it up best on TikTok, calling this a song you can ‘crash out to one second and be delusional to the next’, which feels like the perfect embodiment of being young, in the city, and caught up in the chaos of it all. And yes, EASHA is entirely Blonde Vibrations approved.
